The Dallas Conservatory is thrilled to announce its Fall Masterclass Series headlined by two of the country’s most sought after dance teachers and choreographers, Nilas Martins and Desmond Richardson. Mr. Martins will present an Advanced Masterclass in Ballet on Monday, October 2 at 5:15 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. On October 15 and 29, and November 5, Mr. Richardson will teach Advanced/Professional Ballet at 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m., followed by Intermediate/Advanced Contemporary at 1:45 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
Nilas Martins is a former principal dancer with the New York City Ballet and is a renowned Repetiteur for the George Balanchine Trust who stages ballets for companies and schools domestically and internationally. Space in Martins’ class is extremely limited and admission is by audition only. Interested applicants should submit a recent video of themselves in a ballet class or ballet performance (applicant must be easily identifiable) to email@example.com. The fee for accepted students is $45.
Hailed by the New York Times as “One of the great modern dancers of his time,” Desmond Richardson, former principal dancer of American Ballet Theater and co-founder and co-artistic director of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, will once again join The Dallas Conservatory for a series of six Masterclasses. Space is limited and admission is by video audition only. Those interested should submit a recent video of themselves in a dance class or performance (applicant must be easily identifiable) to firstname.lastname@example.org. Tuition for students and pre-professionals is $55 per class or $135 for a three-class series, and $25 per class for professional dancers.
