JEREMY DUMONT began performing at ten and has been doing it ever since. He is a graduate of Carroll High School in Southlake, TX and attended Top Hat Dance Centre in Lewisville, TX. Upon high school graduation, Jeremy moved to New York City and trained at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA).
Jeremy joined the International tour of West Side Story in 2005 and did two other tours of the same production in 2007, and again in 2010. He toured dozens of countries including Japan, China, Italy, France, Germany, Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia. When Jeremy wasn’t on tour, he taught at the New York Kids Club on the Lower East Side and was also a teaching artist for Camp Broadway.
In 2009, Jeremy moved back to the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex after 5 years of living in NYC. Back in Dallas he was Action in Lyric Stage’s production of West Side Story, followed by Lyric’s critically acclaimed production of Funny Girl, for which he played the role of Fanny’s best friend, Eddie Ryan. Since then, Jeremy has performed extensively around the DFW metroplex.
Jeremy is not only an accomplished performer, he is also an accomplished Director/Choreographer and highly sought-after teacher. Jeremy’s choreography has been seen all over Dallas and Fort Worth as well as in Florida at the historic Alhambra Dinner Theater and at CityRep in Oklahoma City. Jeremy served as Director of Education for Casa Manana in Ft. Worth, TX and has remained their resident choreographer for their children’s series since 2011. He has also taught workshops and choreographed for various schools and school districts including Plano ISD, Carroll ISD, Ft. Worth ISD and the University of North Texas. Jeremy is a proud member of Actor’s Equity as well as the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. He is excited to take on the role of Director of Theatre at The Dallas Conservatory.
