Amanda Durbin is an award-winning choreographer, actor, and educator, whose innovative and high energy choreography and performances have been nationally recognized and featured on live theater stages, television commercials, industrials, and films.
Amanda has been a competitive and professional dancer for 28 years, and has taught dance and musical theater for 14 years. Her performances and choreography credits include the Broadway national tour of Tony and Tina’s Wedding, national tours of Chicago and Wizard of OzCats and Mary Poppinsregional premieres, EvitaBeauty and the Beast, and many more! Amanda has trained extensively in Dallas, Los Angeles, and New York City, and is privileged to be a three-time recipient of the Chita Rivera Dance Award presented by The Column Awards. She was also nominated and chosen as runner up for Best Supporting Actress in a musical by She has also received multiple national film festival nominations for best actress in supporting and leading roles.
Amanda holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre/Dance Performance and Radio/TV/Film Production from Texas Christian University, and received focused acting and dance training while in the Conservatory program at Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University. Amanda is a resident choreographer and member of the REP Company at Repertory Company Theatre. As a 14-year veteran Texas state educator, she strives to enrich the lives of students of all levels through her passion and love for dance and theater, providing not only superb instruction, but also motivation, compassion and a FUN experience!
She is represented by Icon Agency and is affiliated with both AEA and SAG.
