Auditions for Summer ’17 Still Happening Now!

Next in-person audition: Sunday, May 7th (details below).  Or, choose digital submission (follow link below) or in-person placement (write and include all student information/background and parent phone number.)

These auditions are open to the public, absolute beginning to advanced levels ages 8-18, for our extensive Summer Program. National and International applicants should follow digital instructions (link at the bottom of this page)

These auditions are required for acceptance to:

1) International Summer Dance Intensive, Beginning through Advanced levels (June 5-16 and Aug 7-18). Six levels total. 

2) “Direct From Broadway!” Musical Theatre Intensive and summer-long Broadway Camps, Beginning through Advanced levels (July 31-Aug 4). 

They will also serve as an audition for:

3) TDC Year-Round Pre-Professional Training Program (part-time, or full-time with academics) 


As always, The Dallas Conservatory has assembled an astounding faculty of internationally known teachers and choreographers.  Our Ballet, Contemporary Ballet, Contemporary, Character, Jazz and Musical Theater Faculty includes:

  • Six levels, beginning to professional, ages 8 to 26.
  • Tuition is $650/week
  • Housing is available with host families for $350/week and includes breakfast and dinner.
  • Only the top two levels (Intermediate II and Advanced) of each discipline will receive the full guest faculty experience. Intermediate I and below receive The Dallas Conservatory’s multi-award-winning year-round and regular guest faculty led by 2-time YAGP Outstanding Teacher, Jacqueline Porter.
  • A one week-only option is offered as space permits.
  • Teaching is hands-on, with lots of personal correction in boutique classes of 30 dancers or less.
  • Out of town dancers and international students are encouraged to apply via digital audition – see link below



  • Direct from Broadway!  is presented at two levels,  beginning/intermediate  and intermediate/ advanced, ages 8-18.  Those too young to audition, or not selected for the intensive, are strongly encouraged to enroll in our Triple Threat Experience offered this summer. See summer camp page.
  • Tuition is $695
  • Housing is available with host families for $350/week and includes breakfast and dinner.
  • Top-notch NYC faculty is announced much nearer to the date (usually July), as we often get guests coming directly out of hit Broadway shows that have just closed, or are about to rehearse and open. Securing guest commitments well in advance is not possible. We do ALWAYS present the highest level of professional guest(s). Recent guests have included Jackie Burns, star of Wicked and If/Then, who was with us for two weeks between her closing of Wicked and opening of If/Then.


SUNDAY, May 7th

  • 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm | 8 – 10 years, dancers
  • 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm | 11 – 13 years, dancers
  • 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm | 14 – 18 years, dancers
  • 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm | 8 – 18 years, singers+actors

Children below the age of 8 should enroll in Park Cities Studios camps, which do not require an audition. Schedule to be announced soon.

College students and professionals/teachers age 18-26 should write to the Artistic Director with inquiries re: space availability:


ALL AUDITIONEES should bring resume, snapshot/headshot, and fee of $35.

Dancers: Wear ballet attire with transitional tights and bring pointe, jazz, contemporary and tap shoes if applicable. You may also present up to 2 songs and 2 monologues later in the day, at the singer/actor call.

Singers: Wear attire you can move in. You may present up to 2 monologues and 2 songs, though you may be cut off at 16 bars or one minute depending on time constraints. An accompanist will be provided.  Please bring sheet music.  You may also bring a track, though sheet music is preferred.
